Note: Key plot points for the latest installment of the new season are included.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The third episode ended with a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to begin their separate journey, apart from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are rare.
Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might appear unsuited, but the events of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing started the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his own means, breaking into the secret base, striking Thimble, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his debts and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each character has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, desires vengeance.
- The adventurer has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a nasty location.
- The warrior and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
- However, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could enable the party reach areas they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The fighter pledged a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:
- Thimble and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and The healer turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the clan.
This leaves them few options but to head to the remote area in search of Casimir.
